People say that the petitions are useless, and they exist just to console one’s heart that they tried to bring some change or at least made people aware about a certain cause. However, the announcement of Young Justice Season 3, a.k.a Young Justice: Outsiders release by Warner Brothers has proven that the petitions aren’t useless.
Warner Bros and the creators of the Young Justice were receiving hell lot of petitions after first seasons of the show were aired on Netflix. Now, the cult has finally won, and now we are going to have a new season of this show.
The show is set to release in 2018, along with the Warner Bros streaming service.
Are The Original Creators Coming Back?
Yes, the Original producers Greg Weisman and Brandon Vietti are coming back for season 3. Warner Bros is also bringing back the grandmaster of DC Animation Paul Dini as an overall Creative Head. Paul is the mastermind behind Superman Animated Series, Batman Animated Series, Justice League and Justice League Unlimited. This is a great fucking news because Paul knows exactly, what the audience needs when it comes to DC’s character stories.
What Is Official Synopsis Of Young Justice Season 3?
This was the official synopsis released by Warner Bros Executives during the press release
“In Young Justice: Outsiders, the teenage Super Heroes of the DC Universe come of age in an animated world of super-powers, Super-Villains and super secrets. In the highly anticipated new season, the team faces its greatest challenge yet as it takes on meta-human trafficking and the terrifying threat it creates for a society caught in the crossfire of a genetic arms race spanning the globe and the galaxy. “
Why Was Young Justice Canceled In The First Place?
Young Justice was canceled just after 2 seasons, nobody understood why the hell WB had taken that decision? Because the show’s rating was growing like anything and the story was perfect. Fans thought that Young Justice is going to become an international Phenomenon like “Justice Unlimited”, and then one day, WB announced that they are killing “Young Justice” because they want to bring “Teen Titans Go!”
This was a sad news, but the lack of information on why the show was canceled agitated the fans even more. We did some research on this subject and we found that Paul Dini has explained the real reason behind the cancellation of this fantastic show, and you will be pissed after reading this. Here’s what Paul Said in Kevin Smith’s podcas :–
“But then, there’s been this weird—there’s been a sudden trend in animation, with super-heroes. Like, ‘It’s too old. It’s too old for our audience, and it has to be younger. It has to be funnier.’ And that’s when I watch the first couple of episodes of Teen Titans Go!, it’s like those are the wacky moments in the Teen Titans cartoon, without any of the more serious moments. ‘And let’s just do them all fighting over pizza, or running around crazy and everything, ’cause our audience—the audience we wanna go after, is not the Young Justice audience any more. We wanna go after little kids, who are into—boys who are into goofy humor, goofy random humor, like on Adventure Time or Regular Show. We wanna do that goofy, that’s where we’re going for.”
And then he continued :–
“Dini: That’s the thing, you know I hate being Mr. Sour Grapes here, but I’ll just lay it on the line: that’s the thing that got us cancelled on Tower Prep, honest-to-God was, it’s like, ‘we need boys, but we need girls right there, right one step behind the boys’—this is the network talking—’one step behind the boys, not as smart as the boys, not as interesting as boys, but right there.’ And then we began writing stories that got into the two girls’ back stories, and they were really interesting. And suddenly we had families and girls watching, and girls really became a big part of our audience…like they picked up that Harry Potter type of serialized way, which is what The Batman in boarding school [?] is really gonna kill. But, the Cartoon Network was saying, ‘Fuck no, we want the boys’ action, it’s boys’ action, this goofy boy humor we’ve gotta get that in there. And we can’t—’ and I’d say, but look at the numbers, we’ve got parents watching, with the families, and then when you break it down—’Yeah, but the—so many—we’ve got too many girls. We need more boys.”
We know that you maybe feeling angry after reading this because like most of us, we thought that Warner Bros is not as bad or selfish as Disney.
Even we had this perception that Warner Bros atleast care about their fan base, but in the end it is all about making toys and making the money!
