Fox’s New Comedy Show Is Parody Of Star Trek “The Orville”

All the Star Trek fans have only been continuously teased and served bad news regarding Star Trek: Discovery from past 1.5 years, and now pretty much every Trekkie out there fears that the show might even get canceled one day without seeing the light of the day.

On the other hand, Fox is getting us a show that is a direct Spoof of the Star Trek, and it looks highly inspired by the hit movie of 90’s “Galaxy Quest” (Which was also a parody of Star Trek). The name of the show is “The Orville”, and shockingly the humor, acting, CGI and story arc of this show seems really good.

This is official synopsis of the Orville

“The Orville is a one-hour science fiction series set 400 years in the future that follows the adventures of the U.S.S. Orville, a mid-level exploratory vessel. Its crew, both human and alien, faces the wonders and dangers of outer space, while also dealing with the familiar, often humorous problems of regular people in a workplace…even though some of those people are from other planets, and the workplace is a faster-than-light spaceship. In the 25th century, Earth is part of the Planetary Union, a far-reaching, advanced and mostly peaceful civilization with a fleet of 3,000 ships.”

Jon Favreau is the director of the show, he has previously directed Iron-Man 1 and 2. Seth McFarlane and Adrianne Palicki are the main leads of the show, and it seems like they are the parody of Captain Kirk and Spock from the original Star Trek. Here’s the trailer for the show, Enjoy!
