‘Six Million Dollar Man’ Actor Richard Anderson Passes Away At 91


We have just received the sad news of the demise of Richard Anderson who had portrayed the character of Oscar Goldman in the series The Six Million Dollar Man and The Bionic Woman. The actor was 91 years old.

The death was reported by Deadline, but, the news doesn’t have any information on the official cause of the death.

The star of the show The Six Million Dollar Man, Lee Majors, reminisced on the death of his former co-star and friend, “I met Richard in 1967 when he first guest starred on The Big Valley — we worked together on five episodes.”

“In 1974, he joined me as my boss, Oscar Goldman, in The Six Million Dollar Man. Richard became a dear and loyal friend, and I have never met a man like him. I called him ‘Old Money.’ His always stylish attire, his class, calmness, and knowledge never faltered in his 91 years,” Majors said.”He loved his daughters, tennis and his work as an actor. He was still the sweet, charming man when I spoke to him a few weeks ago. I will miss you, my friend,” the iconic actor stated.

Lyndsay Wagner, Anderson’s co-star from his other series, The Bionic Woman also expressed her thoughts on Anderson’s demise:

“I can’t begin to say how much I have always admired and have been grateful for the elegance and loving friendship I was blessed to have with Richard Anderson. He will be greatly missed,”

Apart from the legendary TV shows of the 1970s mentioned above, Anderson also featured in various other iconic shows including Dynasty, Simon & Simon, and Fantasy Island.

The 1993 American war epic Gettysburg featured Anderson as Major General George Meade.
