Transformers: The Last Knight is the latest addition to the Transformers cinematic universe, and it looks completely different in tone compared to other movies in this franchise. It appears a little bit darker and grittier than its predecessors, but maybe it is for good because audience needed some change as well.
This movie has used 360-degree IMAX cameras extensively to give more immersive experience to the audience, and we will also see many new characters from the original show in this movie. One of them is Hot Rod, for some reason Michael Bay and his creative team decided to hide him in the first two trailers of this movie, but recently Entertainment Weekly unveiled the look of Hot-Rod, plus they’ve shared some interesting information about how Hot Rod will be placed in the well-establish ecosphere of Transformer.
Entertainment Weekly’s movie preview explains that Hot Rod is going to be an ally to Anthony Hopkin’s character, who has planted him as a protector of her daughter played by Laura Haddock. She explains her relationship with Hot Rod like this ->
“It’s a rickety old thing, but she can’t part with it because she adores it, this car has actually been put there to watch her and feedback information to Anthony Hopkins’ character about what she’s up to and her life. So yeah, she gets kind of taken [by surprise] in a really funny, dramatic way by this Hot Rod.”
This movie will be rotating around why Optimus Prime has turned against his own allies, as shown in the trailer.s Hot Rod will be transformed into 2017 Lamborghini Centenario LP770-4 in the second half of the movie. Transformers: The Last Knight will release on 23 June 2017.
