A year back, moviegoers viewed some of the greatest egos in the Marvel Cinematic Universe clash head to head. Captain America: Civil War followed legends like Captain America and Iron Man as the two clashed against each other. The monstrous film saw its cast pit against each other. However, the third Captain America film will have nothing on the next Avengers movie.
When Avengers: Infinity War is released, fans will see Marvel Studios go up against its most ambitious venture yet. The blockbuster will have the Avengers team-up with the Guardians of the Galaxy and Doctor Strange. In any case, as per the intergalactic superhero squad, the Guardians will act aggressively towards the Avengers.
Zoe Saldana stated the following during a recent interview about Avengers: Infinity War;
“Deep down we were like, ‘We’re the Guardians of the Galaxy!’ But it was super exciting — the fact that they’re bringing every character in the Marvel universe together and that this super villain is such a prominent figure amongst the Guardians of the Galaxy gives our level of importance quite a boost.”
Dave Bautista emphasised that the Guardians will meet the Avengers as a whole unit and the face-off may shake-up Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.
He stated; “When we come onto set as the Guardians, we are the Guardians. Anybody stepping onto set with us has to deal with all of us. There are usually one or two Avengers. We are the Guardians, we come as that and carry a scene like that and we do business as usual, which is a lot of chemistry, a lot of interaction amongst ourselves. And the Russos were very encouraging of that. I think we’ve established ourselves and we deserve to be right up there with the Avengers. I think we’re just as strong, if not stronger, as a unit, ‘cause we’re a family.”
What’s more, with an elusive nod, Saldana affirmed the Guardians would meet up with the Avengers together in space. Obviously, the location will give the ragtag galactic group a heads-up because of their home advantage. Saldana further stated; “We’re also in space, so we’re not being held by gravity,” she teased, “And you know we’re stronger.”
The cast would not affirm whether the Avengers and Guardians have a full-on fight. Nevertheless, Chris Pratt was allowed to free talk and stated; “We’re the Guardians of the Galaxy – we don’t get intimidated!”
Avengers: Infinity War is depicted by Marvel Studios as the zenith of everything in the Marvel Cinematic Universe ever since Iron Man in 2008. The film is being directed Anthony and Joe Russo, and has a screenplay by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely.
The affirmed cast incorporates Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson, Tom Holland, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bethany, Sebastian Stan, Benedict Cumberbatch, Benedict Wong, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Karen Gillan, Vin Diesel, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Pom Klementieff, and Josh Brolin as the baddie Thanos. Avengers: Infinity War and its untitled spin-off are in for a May 4, 2018 and May 3, 2019 release respectively.
